Fifth Asia-Pacific Review and Appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing

Overview

The implementation of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA), adopted in 2002, is reviewed and appraised at national, regional and global levels every five years.

Pursuant to ECOSOC resolution 2025/8, regional commissions continue to facilitate the fifth review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA).

The fifth review and appraisal process takes place in 2026–2028.

In Asia and the Pacific, the fifth review and appraisal process will consist of: voluntary national surveys of Governments; stakeholder consultations; documentation; and the intergovernmental meeting.
